Our hotel is committed to serving the comfort and needs of our guests, while taking the utmost care of the environment. We continually work to make our operations sustainable, whether it's through energy and water saving solutions, selective waste management or the use of recycled materials.
We pay particular attention to supporting our employees and guests in developing an environmentally conscious attitude, while ensuring that the products and services we use are both sustainable.
What our hotel is doing to protect the environment:
- We collect waste from daily operations (paper, glass, municipal) in a selective way.
- We encourage the use of recycled toners, the reuse of used paper and the purchase of recycled paper.
- Our hotel employees receive training, where we seek to make environmental protection and environmental awareness part of our employees' daily lives.
- To save energy, we use a magnetic card locking system in our rooms, which means that the electricity is only on when our guests insert the key card they receive at reception. When the guest leaves the room and removes the card, the power is cut and devices that may be left on are switched off.
- Our toilets have a tap with water-saving spray taps, reducing water consumption.
- Keeping the windows closed to optimise room temperature helps to increase the efficiency of air conditioning or heating, so that the energy used for cooling/heating actually reaches its intended use. The air conditioner does not operate when the window is open.
- Waste management: electronic waste is collected and disposed of separately, as with batteries.
- The kitchen is working carefully to reduce food waste and the removal and disposal of animal by-products and cooking oil is handled by a professional company.
- Our room preparations (shower gel, hand soap, shampoo) are high quality ADA products, which have a lower environmental impact due to their larger packaging.
- We try to minimise the use of paper in our rooms, so guests can find our guest information with QR code access or on our website.
- In our restaurant we do not use any tablecloths, so we make significant savings on textile transport, chemicals and energy.
- Raw materials, quality and safety: we buy premium raw materials from certified suppliers, followed by professional processing with the most modern machinery.

What you can do to protect the environment at our hotel:
- In our rooms there are signs indicating how to change towels. If our guests no longer wish to use their old towels, our maids will replace them when they are thrown on the floor. If you choose not to have another towel, it means less washing, so less water and chemicals are used.
- To avoid wasting food from the buffet table, rather take less on your plate several times. If possible, use one plate, so there are fewer dishes to wash, which means less water and dishwashing liquid used.
Hospitality-friendly and sustainable food and drink
- ENZO BENCINI ARTISAN COFFEES
Our artisan coffees come from small family farms that are chemical free and grown for longer periods of time to ensure a richer flavour. Hand-harvesting allows for a more careful harvesting process, so only the right quality and ripe beans are selected. During transport, the coffee is stored in jute bags which ensure the right conditions for the beans, which then undergo a traditional artisan roasting in a double-walled roaster, which means they do not come into contact with open flames and do not contain more than half the European permissible acrylamide content. Our coffees are freshly roasted every month, as the fresher the beans, the better the coffee will taste.
- Our vegetarian, vegan and allergen-free selection: our buffet tables and menus are marked with allergen labels. We also pay special attention to the delicious and creative vegetarian and vegan options on our menus.
- We have created a healthy corner at our breakfast buffet table, where our guests can find allergen-free and dietetic products. Guests can indicate their special dietary requirements in the online reservation system when making their reservation.
- Oils and fats used: we do not use palm and coconut fats, which are harmful to the environment. The frying oil we use is liquid and heats up quickly, so it saves time and energy, and has an extremely long life if used properly. You can cut your frying oil consumption by up to half.
